Shower/Commode Chair

Availabe with either a flexible plastic backrest or a netweave backrest.

The plastic backrest gives comfortable support and is easy to clean and disinfect.

Netweave Backrest

The netweave backrest can adjust to the user’s back so there is a consistent pressure spread over the back. This provides better support for users with scoliosis for example.

Seat

The chair comes with a seat with a cut-out in the front which aids hygiene as standard. This plastic seat can be removed without tools and is easy to clean.

The seat comes with a commode pan holder, designed to hold the commode pan in place when moving the chair. It is easy to remove the bucket after use. The commode pan holder can also be removed without tools if the commode pan is not needed.

Footrests

The shower/commode chairs come with height and angle adjustable footrests as standard. The height and angle can be adjusted without tools. A bushing in the footrest holder ensures that the footrests are mounted securely.

Height Adjustability

The height adjustability of the footrest and the angle adjustability of the footplate ensure optimal positioning of the user’s feet.

Armrest

Armrests are provided with a TPE coating on the surface. The TPE is comfortable to rest your arms on, hygienic and non-slippery.

Removable Armrest

Armrests can be removed easily by swinging in to 45° and removing it sideways. This provides optimal accessibility by sideways transfers.

Gas-Tip

The Nielsen Line gas tip has a gas spring which supports the helper when the user needs to be tilted backwards and forwards. The gas spring supports the way of movement from tilted to horizontal position. This provides ease of use, especially for heavier users.

Armrests

The armrests are fitted with snap lock which ensures that they can’t be folded up without the lock being released by the helper. The snap lock automatically locks the armrest when they are down.

Wheels

The chairs are fitted with 125mm wheels which have a closed axis. This reduces the risk of hair and dirt entering the axis. The front right wheel is a directional fixed wheel that can be locked in the direction of travel (marked with a different colour). This wheel can only go forwards. This ensures that the chair is easy to manoeuvre and push.

Bracket

For users who are always positioned by lift, the forward tip can be unnecessary. We therefore offer a bracket that ensures that the chair cannot tip forward. The bracket can be easily mounted on the front of the frame and stops the movement when the seat is in a level position.
